Stan Shumski: I am a retired middle school teacher who has just become a full time "Classrooms for the Future" Instructional Technolgy Coach. I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University, and I have taught social studies and reading at the fifth and sixth grade level. I have enjoyed 34 years in the classroom. I love the role of being an embedded teacher in the classroom and working collaboratively with other teachers on how to not only use technology but to reshape, redesign and in many cases change the pedagogy. I have many hobbies and interests.I play a clarinet and saxophone and have integrated music into my lessons as much as possible. I've played, started and lettered in football, basketball, and baseball in high school varsity athletics. I've coached high school baseball and my sons in youth soccer, biddy and CYO basketball, as well as Little League and Teener League baseball. I am a Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76'ers, and Flyers fan. I enjoy Penn State football and a Johns Hopkins LaCrosse. When I want to relax, I either go trout fishing or play a round of golf.
